Hi, my name is Ariel Paxton, and I’m a Storyboard Artist, Designer, and Multimedia Artist and Animator from Atlanta, Georgia. I’ve had the opportunity to create visually engaging content for TV series, commercials, and mini-games for clients like Noggin, Nickelodeon, Nestlé, and Mattel. I’ve also worked on various freelance projects as a 2D animator and illustrator, allowing me to explore a range of styles and storytelling techniques.
I obtained a Master of Fine Arts in Animation from the Savannah College of Art and Design and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Media Arts and Animation from The Art Institute of Atlanta. Studying at these schools helped me grow both technically and creatively, while also learning to collaborate in fast-paced environments. While graduating from SCAD, I created my first short film, My Pet Venus, which was selected and screened at over eight different film festivals.
One of my favorite parts of the filmmaking process is developing the story, figuring out which scenes reveal a character’s motivation and what drives their journey. With every new project, I discover new ways to tell stories, whether through design, animation, or narrative structure.
